InterNICHE is contributing to the influential Panvet Congress, being held in Cartegena de Indias, Colombia from 24-27 October 2012. InterNICHE Co-ordinator Nick Jukes is giving two oral presentations on replacement alternatives to animal experiments in education and training, and in collaboration with WSPA (Latin America), CRIAA (Mexico) and Dr Jorge Arrendondo (Universidad del Estado de Mexico), the network has organised an extended multimedia exhibition of software, models, mannekins and simulators. The excellent response to this first major input to Panvet of the vision and practicalities of humane education reflects the growing interest from teachers in enhancing and humanising veterinary education and training. A fuller report will be distributed after the event.
