InterNICHE joined Animal Aid at New Scientist Live last weekend. NSL is a huge science event held at ExCeL in London, UK.
Nick Jukes, InterNICHE Co-ordinator, was demonstrating humane innovations for teaching and learning in veterinary medicine and other areas, and Animal Aid promoted humane research and testing. We met hundreds of adults, teens and children over a very busy 3 days. Critical Care Jerry, a veterinary skills mannekin from Rescue Critters, was a big draw as always. The many clinical skills and surgery training tools we displayed, and Jerry's excellent breath and heart sounds simulator, are great interactive ways to illustrate how well-designed tools can both enhance education and provide fully humane ways to learn.
